I get easily distracted by those faint sounds such as the possible scream of help from a nearby neighbor (only to find, it's a little girl screeching of happiness), or the low background ding in a song playing on the radio that makes me think the phone's ringing downstairs, and the worst is the the low grrrr of a car or motorcycle that makes me think i've left my phone on vibrate and it's somewhere in my room waiting for me to find it and answer the call.
so distracting!!!!
and of course i'm thinking, "you're phone's got the ringer on! why are you even distracted!" but of course, i fall for it every time. I live near a highly trafficked highway so you can imagine how many times in one evening when it's just quiet enough, the low grrr of a motor makes me think just for a few seconds that it's my cell phone vibrating!
it's gotten to the point where i have to turn it off just so i don't psyche myself out!
