This is the glacier known as Perito Moreno. We walked along this glacier for an hour on a MINI TREKKING TOUR provided by Hielo y Aventura. The tour included transport to and from the glacier, two guides, and the spikes needed to walk along the glacier. It was amazing! The entire tour takes almost an entire day. We left El Calafate at 8:00 and returned at 17:00. The trip cost 400 Argentinian pesos. I definitely recommend doing this, it was sooo much fun!
El Calafate is a great little town that is eco friendly. There is a law against PLASTIC BAGS!!! It reminded me of a small ski town in the states. I instantly fell in love with the people, restaurants, and atmosphere of the town. One side of the town backs up to a national park, so a lot of the land is very well preserved and the people of the town respect it very much.
Esto es el glacier se llama Perito Moreno. Nosotros caminamos encima del glacier por una hora con un tour de MINI TREKKING por Hielo y Aventura. El tour incluyò transporte ida y vuelta del glacier, dos guias, y los zapaots especiales que son necesario para caminar por el glacier. Era increible! Nuestro tour pasa casi todo el dìa. Salimos de El Calafate 8:00 y regresamos 17:00. El precio en total del tour 400 pesos argentinos. Se lo recomiendo el tour seguramente, era muy divertido.
El Calafate es un pueblo que cuida el medio ambiente mucho. Hay una ley contra bolsas plasticos! El pueblo me parecia como un pueblito de ski de E.E.U.U. Al instante me enamarò con la gente, los restaurantes, y el ambiente del pueblo. Un lado del pueblo toca un parte de un parque nacional y la tierra del parque esta bien conservada porque la gente atienden la bien.
