Here we are in front of the entrance sign to Lake Rock camping grounds about 30 minutes outside of El Calafate's downtown area. The guy in the picture is our Argentinian friend Jonyy. He graciously offered us a lift to the park since he had an extra day in El Calafate to do some sight seeing and we all decided this would be a fun place to visit. The drive to the park was nice, the road wasn't paved, but the gravel was sturdy. Along the road we passed several ranches that had sheep and horses. I didn't see any tasty Argentinian cows, though, so I guess they don't raise cows in the Patagonia region. We had great weather, absolutely no rain, and packed a picinic for lunch since there were no kiosks along the way or at the park. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the lake. Those pictures were taken by Vivian's and Jenny's camera. I'll try to post those later.
Estamos en frente de la entrada para el Parque del campamento del Lago Roca 30 minutos fuera del centro de la ciudad. El chico en la foto es nuetro amigo Argentino, Jonyy. Èl ofrecìo llevarnos al parque porque tuvo un dìa adicional para pasear en El Calafate y decidimos que este parque puede ser un lugar divertido. El viaje al parque era bonito, el camino no era pavimento, pero era duro con trocha. Por el camino habia muchas estancias de ovejas y caballos. No vi vacas argentinas deliciosas, pues adivino que no crian vacas en el region de Patagonia. La clima era buenisima, absolutamente no lluvia, y llevamos un picnic para almuerzo porque no habia kioskos por el camino al parque. Desgraciadamente, no tengo fotos del lago porque todas las fotos del lago sacaron Vivian y Jenny con sus cameras. Intentarè ponerlas fotos despuès.
