a petition of support/ un peticiòn de apoyo

Hello Everyone! As many of you know, I worked with a group of artisan women my first year as a Peace Corps volunteer in Bolivia. Before I left, I said goodbye to two of my favorite women of the group. We were all sad to say our goodbyes. I was even more sad when they told me that they no longer were exporting their hand made clothing items due to the recent increases in exportation costs to USA. They told me they no longer have jobs as knitters and will be very sad to leave thier work.

Good news is Claire (a former vol like myself) was kind enough to send me this link to sign a petition to allow artisans from Bolivia to continue exporting their goods at a fair rate. The link is below, please sign this petition and help Bolivian artisan groups/individuals

¡Hola todos! La mayoria de uds saben que durante mi primer año en Bolivia, trabajè con un grupo de artesanas. Antes que salì Cochabamba yo despedì mi dos señoras favoritas del grupo. Estabamos triste de despedirnos. Pero, yo estaba mas triste cuando me dijieron que no van a exportar sus productos artesanales a E.E.U.U. porque las tarifas para exportar a E.E.U.U. son mucho màs caro y no es posible continuar el negocio. Ahora ellas no tienene trabajos de artesania y estan muy tristes sin este trabajo. 

Buenas noticias es Klara (mi amiga de Cuerpo de Paz) me mandò este "link" para firmar mi nombre en un pedimento/peticiòn para que los/las artesanos de Bolivia pueden exportar sus productos con una tarifa justo. Este "link" es donde se puede firmar sus nombre y ayudar los/las artesanos.
