Feria de Chirimoya

So this weekend I went and helped out Dorinda in her site and helped teach her baking club kids a little bit about accounting. This pic here is me, with two HUGE chirimoyas that I can't wait to eat in a couple of days! I'm all about a little work and some good fruit in the end! ha!
This is Dorinda's back yard and I was glad to have three Bolivian teachers in my class to help explain the idea to the kids in a different manner in case they didn't understand my explanations.

Here we are at the stand Dorinda's on the farthest right. The kids sold 18 cakes on Sunday and made a nice profit of almost 200bs for their hardwork over three days of buying ingredients, baking the cakes, and participating in our little accounting class for figuring prices. Dorinda's artisan project sells items that the chico is wearing in the pic on the left. The majority of the colors are naturally dyed and she's working on teaching and training women of her area how to tint/dye their hand spun sheep's wool!
