This is Dorinda's back yard and I was glad to have three Bolivian teachers in my class to help explain the idea to the kids in a different manner in case they didn't understand my explanations.
Here we are at the stand Dorinda's on the farthest right. The kids sold 18 cakes on Sunday and made a nice profit of almost 200bs for their hardwork over three days of buying ingredients, baking the cakes, and participating in our little accounting class for figuring prices. Dorinda's artisan project sells items that the chico is wearing in the pic on the left. The majority of the colors are naturally dyed and she's working on teaching and training women of her area how to tint/dye their hand spun sheep's wool!
