a 'lil trip up to Peru

Here I am at Machu Picchu! I had a good time, but if you notice, this pic was taken at, oh around, 6:30AM and I was still asleep, hence the sunglasses. I sat on a bus for over 20 hours to get from Cochabamba, Bolivia to Cusco, Peru but it was worth it. Cusco is a cute town, the Plaza de Armas is super clean, but the rest of the city is sorta like Bolivia, less dirty and more organized, but the bldgs aren't too cute and the culture pretty much is the same.

My favorite little town on the route up to M.P. was a town called Ollantaytambo. Super cute small town tucked away up in the mountains. It has super cute restaurants and very friendly townspeople. We ate at this SUPER cute and TASTY restaurant & hostel called KB THOMAS. The chef is Chilean and he can cook!

For those of you who haven't heard from Nate or seen any of his pics, here he is!!! Ross and I met up with Nate (and Ryan) in Cusco. Here we are in a minivan about to go to a small Inca ruins site just outside the city. It was a good day, really tiring, but if I were to do the Inca ruin sites again, I'd take a private taxi and start in the morning instead of the afternoon. Apparently all the tours offered don't start until the afternoon b/c certain places don't open until then, but seriously, super inconvenient. We got to the last site and the sun was down completely so no good pics came out of it.

Anyway! If I could do it again, I'd spend more time in Ollantaytambo and do a little more trekking around that area and eat at more restaurants.
