I know, I know, you're thinking, "uh, karen, you've been away for a lot longer than just a week." It's true, I haven't been around. I have way too many excuses, but one great one is Jenny was in town! She graced us with her presence for four fantastic days. Unfortunately I worked way too much and didn't get to spend enough quality time with her, but we had a good last night filled with cheese, crackers, grapes, and wine.
Jenny, if you're reading this, next visit will be me and you in D.C.
Besides that news, everything else has been going great. I'm earning extra money working at Pier 1 part time and working at Friends of Youth full time for my trip to Costa Rica and (hopefully) getting Chewi sent to me by Christmas. Things are in the works (fingers crossed). He has been in Bolivia for over a year and I feel like such a terrible owner for leaving him with Matt for as long as I have, but I won't give up until he's here with me. I'll keep everyone posted!
It's getting colder each day here in WA state and the leaves are turning those amazing colors of reds, yellows, oranges, and purples. The other day we went to a park and took this picture of me and the house dog, Molly.
Also, I'd like to note, that I've been trying my best to blog every Wednesday as promised a year ago so please be patient with me and I will be forever grateful. Thanks again for popping in every now and then to read my blog!
