Dia de Madre

Mother's day was celebrated not too long ago, here in Bolivia. The younger kids made cute little holders from cups and stuck the moms' pictures into cute little flowers and gave them as gifts the following morning during a cute presentation. The presentation involved singing, dancing, and a yummy traditional Bolivian breakfast called Api y Pastel which is a warm thick drink with a fried puffy piece of dough. I'm a fan of the pastel, not so much on the api, but a lot of ppl REALLY love it.

Here a few pics of the girls and one of the staff members dancing the Chacarrera a traditional Bolivian dance specific to the Chaco department of Bolivia. The dresses are really pretty and the "man's" dance part is super difficult to learn, only a few master and perform it well.
