Oops I did it again

Hello All, wanted to let you all know that even though I'm not Catholic, I celebrated Palm Sunday two Sundays ago. They call it Dia de Ramos. I think because "rama" is a branch and they make a type of artcraft out of palm leaves. I learned how to weave them and turn an 'ole palm leaf into a super pretty branch that would later that day get blessed with holy water! ha!
I will admit that i didn't listen to the service the whole time b/c it was in Spanish and we ALL know what it feels like to listen to a "good long" church service and with my added "bonus" of it being in Spanish, man was i uplifted. (wink)
Anyhoo, for Easter i went up and hung out with my friends in a place called Pampallguas. It apparently was the site of the lost city of the Atlantic. I could believe it b/c in the entire community of 600 people, I counted four trees and the entire place was covered in SAND!!!! The streets were made of sand and going out into the "fields" people were attemmpting to grow potatoes, corn, and quinoa, with a bit of sucess, in sand! I kept asking my friends where the beach was b/c i really expected to see it somewhere.
Anyway, pictures of that trip are to come, so stay tuned. Hope everyone's Easter was visited by the Easter bunny and lots of yummy pastel colored treats. (did i mention Easter season M&M's are my favorite?)
