Miss Robincita, a former volunteer of my group, came back to visit for three weeks and it was suepr nice to see her. She left a bit early due to medical reasons, we were crushed when she left and so you can imagine how happy we were when we knew she was coming back!
She said it was weird for her to be back with such a different mentality -that is knowing she was going back to the states soon. I can't imagine what it would feel like having to leave so abruptly and then coming back to say my final goodbyes. She seemed like she felt like she received closure and I'm so glad for her.
In other news. I returned from my two day vacation in Sta. Cruz city with Robincita and other volunteers to find that the taxi drivers of my town are on a strike. Thankfully there are two different ways to get to my town from the town where i work, so i should be able to get back to my house okay. If not, I'll just stay in the city. I'm lucky that i have that option. We'll see!!!
