I recently attended a Bolivian engagement party for a current volunteer and her Bolivian Fiancé. Patty and Huber (pronounced w/out the “H”) met during Patty’s service when his mom brought him to Patty’s house for English lessons and from what I’ve heard, at first sight Patty was very interested! (ha!) I don’t blame her, mister Huber is a good looking guy! They’re a good looking couple who I wish all the best.
The party was fantastic. There was lots of dancing, food, drinking, more dancing, and more drinking. I was especially pleased that they served one of my favorite drinks which is chicha w/ grape flavored ice cream dumped into it, mmm mmm!!! I enjoyed myself and pretty sure everyone else did, too.
