My host family during my training came to my permanent site and visited me for my birthday! It was super sweet of them to travel almost two hours just to come and see me. If you’re wondering why I have cake all over my face it’s b/c tradition in Bolivia is to shove your face into the cake while you’re blowing the candles out or in my case while they were tricking me into thinking that I was taking a picture with the cake. (ha!)
