So, If you didn't already know, it snowed last night. Classes at the community college were canceled today so I slept in and ate a delicious breakfast complete with veggies breakfast sausage and homemade blueberry pancakes from scratch by way of the wonderful Barefoot Contessa recipe. Then, we took the dogs out to play in it for a little bit, and from the pictures, you can imagine how much fun they had. I didn't get too many pictures of
my dog, Toby, because he was running around with the other dogs so much, he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to snap a good one. Molly, my housemates' dog, did play, but more with the snow, by herself! So she's the star of this entry for today. HA!

I'm spending Thanksgiving in the city this year and not going home b/c of the only two days of vacation from school I will be allotted and the very pricey tickets to go home don't outweigh the opportunity for me to work, have some extra study time, and make some extra moola to pay for school next quarter. Did I mention my classes are on a quarter system? This is very new to me, but I feel like I'm in high school all over again (some very annoying "know-it-all" classmates and all) Did I also mention that the only two classes I have, meet everyday? Yes, they do, which adds even more to the high school class feeling. Nonetheless, I like my classes, and am feeling better and better about my decision to quit working full time to pursue school. I'm stressed out a lot more, but stressed out about things that I feel I can handle a lot better than before. Anyhoo, I'll be making some homemade mac 'n cheese for Thanksgiving brunch with my friends at our house. I look forward to eating good food and then heading over to work with the boys to cook some tamales for them as a special treat. I'm excited to learn how to make tamales, and I really hope they turn out delicious. Wish me luck with fingers and toes crossed that they do!
